On Leaving
Just as there was a checklist for when you first arrived, there is also a checklist for when you leave. This is to ensure that the house is left in a good state for the next guests.
Security Camera
If you unplugged the security cameras, please plug them back in.
Spa Pool
If you turned the spa pool temperature up, please turn it back down again. Please set it to 18 degrees Celsius.
Doors and Windows
Please walk through the house and check that all doors and windows are closed and locked. Note that the way many of the doors lock in the house is quite odd, but here are the steps required to lock the doors from the inside:
- Lift the door handle upwards.
- Turn the lock in the direction away from the door.
Ideally, you would walk around the outside of the house to ensure none of the doors can be opened.
Laundry
Please take the bed sheets, pillow cases, and any towels you used and place them in the washing basket in the laundry. If you do not have time to do the laundry before you leave, it is fine - we will take care of the laundry when we are next at the house.
Dishes
It would be really appreciated if you could run the dishwasher before you leave. It would be even better if you had time to put the dishes away as well, so that everything is ready for the next guest - but if schedules mean you can’t hang around, that is fine. Just leave the dishes in the dishwasher and we will take care of them when we are next at the house.
Fridge / Freezer and Pantry
If you have any food in the fridge / freezer and Pantry, please either take it with you or throw it out in the bins outside (refer to the rubbish and recycling section below). We will clean the fridge / freezer when we are next at the house.
Rubbish and Recycling
Please take all rubbish and recycling out to the rubbish bins beside the house. The rubbish bins are located on the right hand side of the house, if you are looking at the house from the street. Note that there are separate outside bins for recycling (yellow lid) and rubbish (red lid).
